Re: [DM15L] trig functions
When I type 2>pi>×>SIN using the Radian angular display the result is not 0 (zero). Instead, its 8.2E-10. That's because you don't get exactly 2\(\pi\) when you type [2] [PI] [x]. What you get is a number that's correct to 10 decimal places, so close to 2\(\pi\) but not equal to 2\(\pi\). You're th...

Re: Anyone experience with shipping to the Netherlands?
Order placed on 14th aug. Today, aug 27th the shipment is still in Milan - I’m in south of italy. They don’t wanna use some known and better courier, and I don’t understand why! We pay the shipment. I was insulted here :D https://forum.swissmicros.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3090 Giubin, nobody ins...

Re: Shipment time Switzerland-Italy
There's no need for discussion to get this heated. I'm locking the topic. One of the main complaints we had was the lack of tracking info on shipments. The only way to get that in place meant also filling in customs declarations electronically, and SwissPost has no facility for this, so we are now u...

Re: DM41L program load ?
The "dump" is the entire memory of the DM41L formatted in a way that can be saved or copy/pasted easily. If you want to add a program to those that are already in the memory of the calculator, then you paste the dump into the web form, decode it to obtain a program listing, add your progra...

Re: DM41L program load ?
If you're using a Mac, make sure your terminal emulator is using the linefeed character \n = 0x0a as the EOL, not the usual Mac carriage return \r = 0x0d or the Windows CRLF \r\n. It's the memory dump that you need to paste into the terminal, i.e. the hex data that starts with the line "DM41&qu...

You're sailing close to the wind here.

Re: Why is the DM42's framerate so terrible?
The "framerate" of the DM42 is low because it's a calculator, not a video playback device. With the LCD of the DM42 being much larger than that of the HP-42S, the CPU would be spending most of its time redrawing the LCD after each operation if we wanted things to be updated in real time, a...

Re: Alt DM11L Font
No problem. Perhaps you'd like to have a look through the online manual for the SwissMicros-specific features of the DM11L:

Re: Alt DM11L Font
Hi there.
The DM11L actually runs the ROM of the original HP-11C, so it should behave exactly the same
All of the DM1x machines have 6 fonts to choose from (as of firmware V31). The way to cycle through the available fonts is to switch the calculator on while holding down the '7' key.

Re: DM41X vs DM16L
It'll either be provided with the DM41X or it'll be in the bundle of ROM images available on the SwissMicros technical resources site: https://technical.swissmicros.com/dm41x/resources/
