Re: Big stack and program decoder.

I would use it only occasionally, when I have the time and inclination to to reorder the whole program memory to optimise the XEQ button. I am not even sure how useful that is, since I would have to go through the process again each time I add a new program. I am not sure what other purpose it would...

Re: Big stack and program decoder.

One nice thing about the online decoder, is that if I export all my programs as a single .raw file, I can load it into the online decoder, and get a listing of my entire program memory. I can then move around blocks of code for individual programs so that they appear in a specific order later when I...

Re: Big stack and program decoder.

Thanks for the exhaustive reply.
Clearly Free42 is currently the best way to encode/decode for the DM42, if any of the new functionality is being used.
Plus 42 looks exiting. I will be downloading and building it soon.

Big stack and program decoder.

When trying to decode the attached program Stack.raw the online decoder gives an error " Invalid TEXT subcommand at PC:004E " Rather than copying the listing by hand, I imported it to Free42 on my PC (Linux version 2.5.19) and got the following listing, using Ctrl C and Ctrl V on the displ...

Re: Battery Consumption

I use the DM42 almost daily, and usually generic cr2032 cells last over a year. The only exception was when I tried to run a pre-release version of dm42pgm, that did odd things, including draining the battery. However, that stopped when running standard the standard dm42.pgm, or the latest unofficia...

Re: Matrix Viewer

This is indeed an amazing bit of coding, and will be useful. I mostly use matrices for stats, where I can check data before accumulating it. However, looking at it as a dumb user, I have a couple of issues. 1. Before loading the state file, I obviously saved both my own state, as well as all my prog...

Big stack and Σ+

I believe that I have found a small bug relating to big stack and the Σ+. The 42s has the great facility of allowing the user to put all their data into an Nx2 matrix, and enter it all at once with Σ+. I use this frequently, as I can then check my data before doing the Σ+. If I am in big stack mode,...

Thanks. I had missed the bit about leaving open menus.

Big stack queries

I have just started playing with the big stack over the last few days, and enjoying it. I have a couple of queries though. 1. I notice that when using the CLST command, not only is the stack clear, but the alpha register seems clear as well. I normally have my display show the A register. The conten...
