Re: Key layout for a DM32 version of DB48X...

And let's not forget the elephant-in-the-room feature of high end calculators, although I'm not sure if you have this planned for DB48X yet: fully user-redefinable keyboard layout. Not all keys on my 50g do what it says on the labels. Even if it isn't "ALL" of the keys (ideal, to be clear...

Re: Announcing DB48X, RPL for DM42

So I was eventually able to get it to build properly on Mac, but I haven't had a chance to try and DL to my DM42 yet. I'm hoping to get time to do that this evening, and will be sure to report back with updates. It does seem to build properly, once all the prerequisites are present, though lots of w...

Re: Announcing DB48X, RPL for DM42

So is this building fine on UNIX (and Mac) systems now, or are there still library problems? What's the current state of the DM42 build? Reposting, hoping for an answer. What's the current state of the DM42 build, and state w.r.t. Linux and Mac platform builds? Are the library problems that existed...

Re: DM42, DM32 or C43?

I think I need unit conversions. That would eliminate DM42. So did I but I'm using conversions with the DM42 since day one. Just look for the fantastic "Convert" program in the HP-42S/Free42 Programs page in Thomas Okken's Free42 web. Great program! *sigh* Yet folks wonder why some of us ...

Just remember that high refresh rate == high power consumption.

Re: How to combine DMCP OS + DM42 program into combo deliverable?

I think that the question was clear, even if phrased slightly incorrectly. However, the problem is that this should really be a script that should be in DMCP_SDK just like add_pgm_chsum because then it saves having to answer these questions or provide such detail. Would SM accept pull requests for ...

Re: Battery done

Hehe, as power gets lower, maybe calculator functionality drops away: It's normally a DM42 / HP42S, but when batt's low enough it turns into a four-banger adding machine, then just an inc/dec counter in binary, then a static display of a LOG lookup table or such.

Re: Plus42 features in dm42 anytime soon?

Is there a theme/layout available for Plus42 like that?

I now only use Plus42 because the enlarged window (rows and columns as requested) allows better programming work.
