Re: After extensive use: The keyboard

I have a DM42 (SN:867) and recently bought a new DM42 (SN:5549). I bought the new calculator because I heard there were improvements to the keyboard. Upon receiving the new calculator, the first change I noticed was the larger font size for the lettering on the faceplate. I am really liking the larg...

Re: [DM42] Bug when turned on?

When I first turn my calculator on after it being off for a little while (I don't know specifically how long), the screen has missing elements. It is not always the same missing elements each time this happens, but it happens every time. Here's a video of a particularly bad example: You may have a ...

Re: New DM 42

I also had a few keys that were not responding well--they would require much more force beyond the tactile feedback. I've been a DM42 user for years, so I knew that the first thing to try was: Disassemble the calculator by removing the back cover, then release the LCD ribbon cable to release the PCB...

Re: My DM42 Is lost

I didn't send anything to SwissMicro as the OP did. I was on the waiting list to get a DM42. I got word that it was available on 18 April and I ordered it immediately. Payment was accepted and they shipped it the same day according to the email they sent. So now it is three weeks later and the DM42...

Re: buttons that don't register well

• 2 Post-It strips centered on the left enter dome
• Gently flex keys

These mods worked very well for me.

Solve Systems of Equation with Complex Coefficients

Is there a way to solve a system of equations on the DM42 with complex coefficients? i.e. A*X=B; where A contains complex numbers of the form a+jb.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Greg

Re: buttons that don't register well

Got my calculator back today. So far so good, it feels much improved. Glad to hear the good news! Thanks for posting the update. The ENTER key has improved, but it's not a perfect fix. At least it's a bit better. I was skeptical that it could be fixed 100%. I'm not sure what the solution is here. I...

ETA: Michael was very generous and offered to repair/replace as needed. My DM42 is off to SM. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
That's great! Please post an update once you receive the new or repaired DM42. I'm mostly curious to find out if your ENTER key is fixed.
