Hi: I have a new in package HP50g, and HP 35s - also a used but good HP 50g. I'm not a collector, just a paranoid person - I had a back up for my 50G when doing my masters, and the 35s as a backup for my desk calc - until I got my DM 42. Have you tried using a paper clip to perform a reset on the bottom of the case?

After reading the posts (and feeling adventurous) - I dissassembled my DM 42 (S/N 00355) - and applied an electronic contact cleaner (MG Chemicals "NuTrol") - primarily through the rear of the keyboard for contact into the domes - I exersized the domes liberally, and then dried and re-asse...
