Re: Fancy Leather Cases

Unfortunately, my contact in the leather industry fell through. No thanks to the global pandemic. I am glad to see there is continued interest in this and that someone has stepped up to try to provide the community with something.

Re: DM16L memory question

I believe that it should be possible if your unit is one of the newer hardware variants that enables the increased memory on the DM15L. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that all the Voyager models use the same internal hardware with different firmware and key overlays applied.

Re: Pixels leaking?

Visually, it looks similar to the low-temperature, low-pressure display artifacts previously reported. Luckily these are fixable — if this is in fact the problem affecting your unit.

By chance, has your calculator been exposed to low ambient temperatures and/or low atmospheric pressures?

Re: Printed manual for the 43S ?

Weirdos like me would prefer it included, even if just as an add-on at device ordering time, and then would pay to get the updated versions as they became available.

Re: Are dot files write protected in FAT FS?

I should have asked, because properly unmounting the DM’s storage is so important. I assumed the user was already doing that ;) You might be able to add a Git hook to the various operations you’re using to force a sync every time. You’re back into floppy performance territory, but at least things sh...

Re: Are dot files write protected in FAT FS?

Git doesn’t typically meddle with or care about any permissions flags on files. However, Git can be very sensitive to file system sync times, caching, and consistency. For an extreme example, try working with a Git repository on a floppy drive. I would personally recommend not running Git directly f...
