Re: DM42 dead after a long weekend
Hiya. Yes. You do remember correctly. Both my 42 and 41 are still chugging away on the CR2016 (edit CR2025)... not used as much as many people do, but the CR2016s (edit CR2025) are still alive.... I'll revisit my post. Anyway, CR2025 do work, but will not last as long. Not sure if there would be a s...

Re: DM42 dead after a long weekend
Just for interest....https://data.energizer.com/pdfs/cr2032.pdf and https://data.energizer.com/pdfs/cr2016.pdf
I reckon enough data here to visualize the battery. Currently I've a CR2016 in DM42.... been a month or so, still working. I expect it to die way sooner than a CR2032 though.

Re: Overlays!
I dont get it. Why doesnt Swiss Micros have professional Overlays made and sell them? Seems like a major oversight to provide for Overlays and leave it up to users to figure out a way to make overlays. Why would SwissMicros make overlays when none of their calculators require an overlay? Or do you ...

Re: Does DM41L have same capabilities as DM41x?
The LCD in the DM1x devices is definitely sensitive to the cold and AFAIK, these spots can readily be removed every time. Michael has recommended a procedure of putting the exposed board into a (temp and timer-controlled) oven, but most folks that reported these spots (always in the winter) observe...

Re: What Battery?
Note that the 2025 is not able to provide as much current as the 2032, which could be a problem if your use includes extended run-time programs (e.g. more than 20-30 seconds) as this draws far more current than interactive use. In this case, the voltage will drop too low and the device will RESET,a...

Re: What Battery?
If it comes to a push, a CR2025 will work too. The differenes are: Battery Thickness mAh CR2016 1.6mm 90 CR2025 2.5mm 160 CR2032 3.2mm 225 (I Google'd the mAh figures) CR2025 still fits quite well, but won't last as long as a CR2032 - presumed by the figures. (I get packs of CR2016/CR2025/CR2032 bat...

Re: Recommended box for DM41X?
I like this case: https://www.action.com/nl-nl/p/3012320/lab31-telefoonhoesje-bookcover/ it fits the DM42/41X almost perfectly So, why, whenever someone posts a link to a potentially good item ALWAYS, ALWAYS that product is UNAVAILABLE???? Not just here, but s so many other disciplines/interests? O...
