Re: A Method To Quickly Change Between DM42 pgm And Any Alternative pgm

This is clever!!

I will ask David if he can figure out how someone is using actual bash scripts on his DM42. But my guess is he'll figure out it's a trick question.

Keep innovating!

Re: Serious damage possible by installing 3rd party products?

Sorry fro late reply, work has been crazy.... I have never heard of any DM device rendered inoperable, or even damaged in any way, as a result of using 3rd party f/w. Of course there have been unstable builds and the normal teething issues as new products were in the early stages of development, som...

Re: Spamhaus block again

I see that IP address is in two blacklists according to Talos . The links on that page don't seem to work but see https://check.spamhaus.org/listed/?searchterm=89.246.100.96 If you can change your IP address (perhaps by rebooting your router) that might help you. It's possible this forum sits behin...

I've no idea, I don't even know what "Spamhaus" is, I just checked to verify if your IP was blocked.

Re: Best way to transfer text program listings? HP41UC?

The .raw files can be transferred to any kind of PC, including Linux, Pi-based, etc., essentially anything than knows how to recognize USB storage. But HP41UC only runs on Windows so you would need something like Parallels or Wine, or some other Windows emulator for non-Windows platforms. Not sure i...

Re: Spamhaus block again

Today, 89.246.100.96 was blocked again. Spamhaus says: bl?ip=89.246.100.96 has no issues But in spite of this feedback, I'm blocked and have to use my phone to circumvent the block of my provider's IP. Who's to blame? The forum software or the Spamhaus connection? This IP is NOT blocked on the Foru...

Re: DM42 dead after a long weekend

Yep, you fugured it out, it's only a low battery. The discharge characteristic of most 2032 cells makes it quite difficult to report battery life in any way resembling real warning that it's getting low (and so go buy one to be ready to swap), but as you've figured out, it will operate on USB power ...

Re: Print a full program to the HP82240A

[XEQ] "PRP" or [shift] [PRINT] [PRP] (for Print Program) and then specify the top global label by either picking it from the listed programs (seen on the soft buttons) or providing it in Alpha. You can also print the current program To print the program "BOB", just [XEQ] "PR...

Re: DSP mode with only 1 line

The System Info (SI) modes are available if you don't want to see more stack, and specifically SI_XY view shows only X and Y registers which is as close as the 41X gets to showing a single line without Alpha. This is unlikely to change, but I point it out as it seems many people have not noticed thi...
