Re: Is this known: Function of F3?

To date, this has not been widely utilized on either the 41X or 42 as far as I've read, perhaps it needs to be promoted more, which your question has helped to do. I added it last month to the latest version of the DM42 help in french , and in the instructions it is used to select the localized hel...

Re: Is this known: Function of F3?

This feature (supporting multiple linked help files, and ability to manually select help files to open) was introduced in the DM41X, so was naturally also added to the DM42. The idea was to enable users to create custom help file content for their own programs, or a 41 Module you use, or reference m...

Why not just assigning your small 'reset' program to one of the top-level custom keys, so it's always available with 2 keystrokes? While that is admittedly one more than one keystroke, it's still pretty convenient.

Re: The unused top function key

I use various CUSTOM menus on the DM42, for "daily use" one with my most important programs and frequently used functions, one for program input with LBL, RTN, SF, CF etc. and sometimes task-related functions. Programs sometimes leave the computer in an undefined state (e.g. undesired FLA...

Re: Gort

I was going to suggest that Barada should be capitalized, then thought such a suggestion would only serve to confuse. Happy to see I was wrong... :) In Firefox, you may have to disable trackers for this site, and then in-line images may appear. Not sure why this helps, it appears the technique the F...

Re: I can‘t access my DM42 via USB

I just want to load another bitmap to the OffFiles, but I just can‘t get any contact with PC or Mac via File > Activate USB. I tried two different USB cables as well. Calculator shows me „Bluetooth connected“ in Status nur that‘s it. No reaction in PC or Mac. Can anybody give me a hint what‘s wrong...

Re: Propagation of Uncertainty Calculations

Mitch, I don't feel qualified to comment on the theory or implementation details you've shared here, but I can say I really like, and am impressed with, your documentation; it's excellent! It's all clear and easy to read, employs excellent use of tables, white-space and colors and makes understandin...

Re: WP34S for the DM42

Nice Massimo!!

It's been a long time since seeing such program listings which include elegant statements like "DECIMAL-POINT IS COMMA." which ironically must be followed by a period to be syntactically correct. Ah... the elegance of COBOL... :)

Re: WP34S for the DM42

For those who might wonder how the QRG looks like, here is a picture with my DM42 and the QRG printed on a simple paper sheet: https://nsa40.casimages.com/img/2021/05/04/mini_210504043625479255.jpg I like the green / white paper style Didier! But it makes me want to see Fortran or Cobol listings......
