Also the the "Z" on the "Zero" key is coming off as well.
Are you kidding?
On the 41L, the alpha character "Z" (in blue) happens to fall on the [0] key. Initially I thought it was a joke as well...

Re: [DM15L] trig functions

The DM15 returns the exact same result for SIN(2*pi) in radians as a genuine HP-15C, 8.20 E-10, as this is the actually calculated result using the algorithm in the original HP code. It is effectively the same as zero of course for most practical caculations, but note that HP's machines will return ...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.22 / DM42-3.20

If you want to downgrade (which is safe, if done properly) then be sure to use the combo DMCP+DM42 f/w images, most easily done with the dm_tool utility, which guarantees you are installing the proper matching DMCP and DM42 applications. Mixing apps and DMCP versions not intended to work together ca...

Re: my little collection of OFFIMG

Thanks for sharing these. They seem to generally get better as one proceeds down the page, at least for my taste. I especially like complex.bmp :)

Re: DM41x and QSPI?

But yes, it can be safely ignored by Dm41X-only users. This information should be in the manual because it is not fair to the user that he has to waste time trying to find out. Even the search here in the forum fools the user. Seems to me there is nothing forcing a user to try every single operatio...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.22 / DM42-3.20

I, for one, use the 'pixelated blotchy LCD font' since it is true to the original one. I'd rather dismiss the bold one. But, as you see, everybody has his preferences, so... Me too. I do like the new, bold font better than the other original font, and used it for a while, but when I pick up my DM42...

Re: DM41x and QSPI?

Well, no... The features in section 7.5 apply to DMCP, which is somewhat analogous to the BIOS in your PC; it's built-in and available, whether or not you need them when running some particular program; when running DM41X, it isn't necessary, but when a user installs some different program into a DM...

Re: DM41x and QSPI?

QSPI is not used in the 41X, but keep in mind the 41X is built on the DMCP platform (same internal h/w as the DM42) which includes the QSPI, which is used in the DM42. So you can simply ignore this on the 41X.

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.22 / DM42-3.20

The old font, with the dotted zero, is available, but only in its modified form If it's modified then it's not the same font, is it? :? :o Yeah, that was stated kinda wonky... The old font was modified and replaced the original; this font was modified to make the zero slashed (consistent with the o...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.22 / DM42-3.20

The old font, with the dotted zero, is available, but only in its modified form - this font was modified to make the zero slashed (consistent with the other fonts) and some other minor (basically invisible) tweaks related to spacing. The completely new font is available in only 2 sizes due to memory...
