I would buy this whenever it becomes available. Thanks for all the effort that is being put into it.

Re: Feature requests

Also, I know why people complain about the keypad on the DM42. It's because sometimes you long-push a number and it double or triple pushes it. To me, it doesn't make sense that the buttons are auto-push when you hold them down. If you just removed the auto-button (or at least had an option to remo...

anybody need a paperclip?
LOL as a matter of fact, I realized that I didn't have a paperclip in the entire house! Fortunately I had a screwdriver to open the case to press the reset button.

Apart from that, the update went smoothly here. Thanks to everyone involved!

Re: Switch bounce or?

Several persons as well as myself noticed this indeed. In my case not only with enter, also with other keys.
There is a specific thread about this:

Re: Keyboard debouncing

Since this occurs on only a very small number of keys on a very small number of machines, it seems logical (to me) that the issue is more likely some dirt or contaminant in the affected keyboards and cleaning them inside (as detailed in a couple different threads here) should resolve the problem. I...

Re: Keyboard debouncing

I have had the Slow Autorepeat setting in place since more or less day 1 I got the calculator. What I am talking about is definitely not autorepeat. Among others, I had this behavior happening with the ENTER key: I typed a number then pressed ENTER. I "suddenly" (it all happened in a fraction of a s...

Keyboard debouncing

Do you guys also notice the following behavior? when pressing a key, it sometimes repeats itself several times "instantaneously". This is not auto-repeat, as it happens within about half a second of the 1st press. It seems more like key bouncing to me. A longer "delay" (or integration time constant ...

Re: Bigger ALPHA register

I was debugging some code in Free42 today, and at one point it did occur to me that having "step over" and "step out" would be nice. SST is really "step into" and that's not always what you want. Those wouldn't be hard to implement. But where to put on the keyboard? :D Maybe Down arrow (unshifted) ...
