Re: Faceplate cosmetic problems
A work colleague has already laughed at me when I showed him the DM42. ;) I work from home  But seriously, the DM42 is on my desk every day, and I use it both for my work and privately (mainly finances). Besides, I have the same programs in Free42 on my phone, so (apart from the physical keybo...

Re: Faceplate cosmetic problems
I'm sorry for that. I'll send you a new faceplate for you to replace. Don't they all have that issue? The labels on mine are not centered as well, and I thought they were all like that ;) It's not a big issue for me, to be honest ... I don't intend to sell my DM42 to anyone else, so I am the only o...

Re: Program menu; key press remembered?
Maybe a possibility, but I am not sure that improves my current code. I think I am not going to spend more time on it nowtoml_12953 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 2:35 pmCould each key store a different address in a register rather than XEQ and then do an indirect jump to that address?

Program menu; key press remembered?
When I define menu keys in a program with KEYX or KEYG, are the key presses stored in a register? That means I could do something like this: "CHOICE 1" KEY 1 XEQ 01 "CHOICE 2" KEY 2 XEQ 01 ... LBL 01 <retrieve key number pressed> <do something with the key number> RTN instead of ...

I don’t know numbers, but any DM41X with a black shift key is a beta

Re: Possibility for comment lines?
(The DM42 was shipped yesterday by Michael ... should be here early next week!) Shipments to .nl are taking about 10 days at the moment. It's longer than usual. Good news ... the DM42 arrived today :) The keyboard is an improvement indeed, but my DM41X Beta (with the repaired keyboard) is quite goo...

Re: Possibility for comment lines?
I'd go with 52, not 14. Programs written for the HP-42S could conceivably use flag 14 since it has no special meaning there; flag 52, on the other hand, is guaranteed to be clear while a program is running, and that is true for the 41 series and the 42S/Free42/DM42. Excellent, thanks! 52 it is. And...

Re: Possibility for comment lines?
Shipments to .nl are taking about 10 days at the moment. It's longer than usual. Last week's shipment (my repaired DM41X) only took three days or so. 10 days sounds very unusual, given that Michael sends everything as a letter, and not as a parcel (at least, I hope he did now as well). Edit: sent N...
