Re: DM41x - relaxing in the sun after a hard days toil

Great review, thanks!

The DM41X has been the only calculator I have used for at least the last month. In the meantime I sold my DM15L. I can't see myself using it anymore after getting spoiled by the 41X.

Re: [DM41L V30] Turning ON sometimes does not work

Not the same issue, but mine randomly switched off automatically, and reset itself. Michael sent me a new main board. Now everything is working as it should (though I use the L a lot less, now I have the X).

Re: Rapid wear with shift key quick fix!

Got some electrical tape, yellow. Correct yellow. I think pin striping might be thinner but it looks good and is a solid colour so wont wear in that respect. That looks good indeed. I wonder how long it will stay attached? If the blue key will wear at some point, I will go the sticker way as well. ...

That's our common fate, I fear.
I already ordered (bright) yellow paint...
I actually like it in black.

Somehow my yellow shift key caught the bad vibes regarding its seemingly ugly color and decided to get rid of its coating... so mine is rapidly progressing towards black, too...

[DM41][HP 17Bii] Date of the first advent Sunday in a year

This small program is an adaptation of an equation I have in my HP 17Bii. One of the reasons for posting this here, is that it shows the elegance of the HP 17Bii solver. The other reason is that it's fun, and can be useful (if only because you know when to open the first window of the Advent calenda...

Re: Announcment regarding shift-Key Color Wear

I don't have a DM42 to compare, but I was positively surprised by the DM41X keyboard. The key feel is better than my DM15L, and equal to my DM41L.

[DM41X] Sunny F16 rule

This program was tested on the DM41X, but should run on the DM41 as well (no additional modules required) A rough way to estimate exposure is the "Sunny F16" rule, which determines that the following works for a sunny day with a clear sky: ISO = 100 1/t = 100 F = 16 The following program computes t...

[DM41X] Hyperfocal Distance and Depth of Field calculator

This was tested on the DM41X, but should also work on the DM41, since no additional ROMs are used This is an adaptation of a Depth of Field calculation that I have stored in my HP 17Bii (I love that solver!). Given the subject distance (in meters), focal length of a lens (in mm), the aperture , and...
