Is the issue also present in the DM41X?
The 41x can not show the voltage. But it seems so. During the beep, the battery indicator on my 41x loses a bar, which then reappears.

Organize programs and overview of catalogs

One of the big innovations on the HP-42s compared to the HP-41 models is the organization of programs through menus. Since there was no external memory, a very large number of programs were unlikely and one menu level was sufficient (with the Free42 or DM42, however, you also had to improvise, e.g. ...

But yes, it can be safely ignored by Dm41X-only users.
This information should be in the manual because it is not fair to the user that he has to waste time trying to find out. Even the search here in the forum fools the user.

Re: Alpha display of instructions instead of opcodes

So few years ago I asked if we could have an improvement over the DM15L and have a better user experience with alpha instructions being shown rather than opcodes (and may be have a setting to toggle beetween the two modes to keep a 100% HP15c compatibility). The go1Xc emulator for Android does it t...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.22 / DM42-3.20

The reason for the inclusion of 3.0.5 vs 3.0.6 in DM42 v3.20 is simple. Thanks for sharing the info. I'd rather have a well-tested 3.05 than a quickly patched up newer version. But I do not understand why Michael did not explain this in the announcement, most people would certainly would have more ...

Re: DM42pcm-3.20.8 released

That was fast, runs flawlessly so far. After the "stupid"(*) firmware got an update, now the good one too. (*) In product-design this two things are very stupid: a) an unused button if there is need for more direct accessable functions (e.g. in a car, the turn signal sholdn't be set only v...

Re: Battery use while off

After seeing this behavior for the first time (DMCP-3.22 / DM42-3.20 not state-file loaded), I'm not sure whether it's new or has always been. Normally the voltage shows 2.97 or 2.98V, if I switch the DM42 off and on again, then it usually shows about 0.02V less: off/on - 2.95, off/on - 2.92, off/on...

Re: DM42pcm-3.20.8b released

I use the v3.20.8a for about 2 month and didn't found any issue. Because the changes in the v3.20.8b do not affect me, I didn't do the update. The 3.20.8a seems as solid as 3.19.7 but with one irritating bug fixed. I have cleared the calc state and downgraded the firmware, to no avail. My problem wa...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.22 / DM42-3.20

There is probably a reason, but it is unlikely that we will find out. I don't have the impression that Swissmicros is close to the community with informations.

But if anyone with contact to SM is reading this ... please take a look at the link to the DM42 manuals.

My collection in two modules

Inspired by the module created by Ángel Martin with most of the games from my collection, I tried to put my entire collection in modules.
In the attached ZIP are the two .mod files with all 30 programs previously published here one by one and quick start guides as .txt files.
