If I remember correctly, the replacement faceplate from SM comes with adhesive tape already. All you need to to is peel the protective film off and put the plate on. No issues since then on my two units.

Something silly... I did not find a proper license plate generator for Switzerland, but at least I removed the EU stars and the "D" from the german plate

I have no issues with Big Sur & DM42 and the cable I mentioned 5 postings above. With other cables with shorter plug and less secure fit I had disconnects and hence FAT trouble on Mac and Windows.

Regarding 3)

I am using Microsoft Visual Studio with the HP42S-free42 extension by J. Heilingbrunner to write programs on my Mac. I encode them within Visual Studio and test the raw-files in Free42 before storing them on the DM42.

SM sent new faceplates. Labels are centered and printed properly. The only nitpick is that on the replacements "S", "W", "-" and " " along the right edge have a smaller font size than "F" and "L" further above. But I can live with that. The...

Thanks Peter for sharing this information! I can reproduce the behavior and am glad that now I know how to fix things if I run into this trouble again.

FYI - I asked Valenta if the Durban could be made w/o the loop. They confirmed and pointed out that it would take about 4 weeks to make it.
