Re: DM42- clock losing time

Regarding the RTC correction: if your DM42 clock is fast (i.e. it shows a later time), should the factor C be positive or negative? It's not clear from the description, so I have a 50/50 chance of being right, meaning I'll be wrong ;-) Werner LOL! Even with only two choices, it takes me three tries...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.17 / DM42-3.15rc1

Thanks. I had already created a second state file with the new name, as you have suggested. What I was hoping for was a way to remove the wrongly named state file (or rename it immediately to achieve the same effect in the 42 itself) so I didn't save updates to the misnamed one instead of the correc...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.17 / DM42-3.15rc1

Thanks. Yes it is re a DM42, as I assumed that the DM42 is what Thomas was talking about. I was hoping to avoid the use of another device, but OK: have cable, can travel.

Did anything change regarding state files?
Which reminds me: I mislabelled a state file (clumsiness) and want to rename it or delete it and start over but I haven't yet found any options for either. Possible?

Re: Display Contrast

Not on the DM42 (or DM41X). This said, the LCD is already pretty good in that respect. I've not yet felt the urge to change it. Even a decade or so ago I would have agreed that it's pretty good as it comes but now I'd say you probably haven't yet experienced any AMD that's not embedded in the innar...

Re: DM42- clock losing time

When I bought my DM42, I could have sworn there was a note about an RTC or accurate clock. Jerry My downloaded destructions say: 3.9. RTC correction Note that to apply RTC correction you have to know (measure and calculate) ppm drift of calculator clock first. Use following steps to apply clock fre...

Re: DM42- clock losing time

What about colour screen, GPS, wifi and stereo speakers? My first electronic calculator was an over-pocketsize four-banger with a nixie tube display. It was a very expensive impulse buy while I buying a cheaper (!) Sinclair audio amplifier. The amplifier carried a little "STEREO" sticker. I knew th...

Re: USB connectors

I had read that the power pins of the USB connection may be slightly longer, so that power is up before the data pins are connected. Whether that's true or not, I don't know, and I think it referred to the USB-A (i.e. PC/host) end. Yes, it refers to USB v1 Type A 'plugs'. On inserting the plug the ...
