Re: Persistent custom menu release 3.19.5

I think to assign shift F3 would not be so much benefit as the downside not being 100% compatible with the Original when PCM is of. If someone needs more functions with F3 then it would already possible now if you start a menu program with DM42F3. I think the actual version is near the optimum, the...

Re: Persistent custom menu release 3.19.5

I have not checked the forum for a while. The f3 pcm toggle is great, as it now allows for easy debugging of programs with single step and then going back to pcm mode. Thank-you! Thanks! I‘m actually thinking to make the pcm toggle even easier by making Shift-Custom key press itself a toggle. As a ...

Re: DM42 is nice

Does it mean that even after an EXIT clic, your six (custom) function keys are labeled on screen ? With the standard firmware, after an EXIT, there is no black boxes off course, but you can access Help, Menu, .... Font size. Are these ones the functions you replaced ? Yes - the custom menu is alway...

Re: DM42 is nice

I was fan of 11C, 15C, 28S and some hours on 42S Have had a similar path - got my 15C in 1985 (btw, just one battery change till today - what an engineering!), some years ago I bought DM15L to have one "15C" in office and one at home. However, I was missing support for HEX numbers in 15C....

Re: May 2021 Speculations

I'm afraid it's too late for RPN, TI bought this market decades ago (TI funded school purchases with millions of dollars). Unfortunately, HP also hardly had anything to match the TI30 (in terms of price and availability) in the 1970s. Even today in North Rhine-Westphalia (where I currently live) a ...

Re: May 2021 Speculations

Michael mentioned that the new product would be "keystroke programmable". I'd love it if they could produce a non-programmable variant. There are many exams (I have one scheduled tomorrow morning) where programmable calculators aren't allowed. This takes every RPN/RPL calculator made in t...

Re: The unused top function key

Thomas, by the way, have you ever considered to add dedicated custom keys to free42 just like DM42 - I know that HP42s don't have that, I also know that some skins are providing that - but those dedicated custom keys greatly increase free42 usability [...] Not really, no... What would such dedicate...

Re: The unused top function key

I spotted the issue with the program mode too  (will be fixed with next release). What issue are you referring to? It's just a bug in my "persistent custom menu" modifications - not in original free42 or DM42 - don't worry :D Thomas, by the way, have you ever considered to add dedic...
