Re: "Persistent custom menu" firmware

If you haven't already done so could you please include a notice in your firmware's "About" screen informing the user that this firmware is neither provided by nor supported by SwissMicros. Will do that - as a first step I have added an explicit note in the download post at https://www.hp...

Re: Persistent custom menu for DM42

DM42-3.17-2.5.20pc has an ugly bug with "SHOW" function (freeze).
Please use DM42-3.17-2.5.20p3 instead (see https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-16503.html)

RPN in education

All curent RPN calculators, beeing SM or HP, are programable and thus typically not allowed to be used during exams in schools and universities. This is hugely limiting RPN usage in education and also limiting RPN popularity. At the same time, I’m quite convinced that RPN has huge didactic advantage...

Re: Access 1st line menu

it doesn't change the fact that they are more like setup functions, bad to be on direct access... I agree - I have slightly changed the firmware to have effectively custom functions permanently accessible via F-buttons - see https://forum.swissmicros.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=2517 (and also http...

Re: Auto custom

I’m not programming DM42 so much, so I haven’t spotted the inconvenience with SST and BST. A possibility could be to make “CUSTOM” a toggle - means, one could switch off custom menu more „permanently“. However, one would need to exit Custom menu with pressing „CUSTOM“ again (and not with Exit) in a ...
