Re: Credit card sized models

Also, there's no longer any printing on the back.
Yes, that's a shame. Would it be possible to bring out stickers with that information?

Re: Custom costs when ordering a calculator

Odd, I got a mail with a reminder for the costs, it stated that my package would not be delivered otherwise but I already have it. The track and trace code matches the one printed on the package so I assume it's no cheat.

Re: Custom costs when ordering a calculator

You paid 42% tax/duty? Or was that 20% plus a handling fee? It was 21% plus a handling fee of EUR 4. However, when I checked the site it said the bill had been paid and there was no mention of a fee attached to the box in my mailbox so I won't do anything unless some customs officer comes demanding...

Custom costs when ordering a calculator

I got a mail from PostNL (the Dutch postal service) that my calculator was delivered but I had to pay € 8,06 custom costs. When I checked their website I saw a note that this already had been paid. Not by me as far as I know, unless it was included in the total bill from SM. I'm at work now so I wil...

Re: A few suggestions to improve the hardware DM41.

I noticed something like this myself - my DM41 suddenly stopped working so I assumed a flat battery. I opened it - which required some force because one of the screws didn't cooperate - and saw suddenly some memory resets occuring. When I just reassembled it it has kept working normally since then, ...

Plus42 based firmware

Now that Thomas Okken has started to implement Plus42 (https://github.com/thomasokken/plus42) as a Free42 + extras, are there any plans to build a DM42 firmware based on Plus42? Although he plans to make it a paid app on Android and iOS the code is GPLv2 so it could be used.

Re: Credit card sized models

I'm pleased to see that shipping times to the EU have improved: my 1st 3 models all took 2 weeks from order to delivery, but now I ordered a DM41 on oct. 24 and it got delivered on oct. 29. Just 5 days. :D

Re: May 2021 Speculations

They allowed a calculator in a Linear Algebra exam?? Yes. I could use them in all written exams. In oral exams it depended on the prof, but usually it was not necessary or useful because most of the time you didn't need to make precise calculations there anyway. I studies from 1988 to 1993, so that...
