I thought you prefer not to use the obelus as the division symbol to be in line with ISO 80000-2.
Also, the blue and gold shift keys have the K and L when in alpha mode.

Manuel.

Re: 43S News
Hi, If you perform STO23, and you keep the 3 pressed, the display doesn't fall back to NOP after 1 second. The same happens with almost every function inside a menu. I tried with functions inside the CLR menu, and same thing. Even CLX has the same behaviour if called from the backarrow key (once the...

Re: 43S News
Hi Walter, Another sub-optimal behaviour: 1 ENTER 2 ENTER 3 ENTER 4 RBR and you'll see the register browser showing 1 in T, 2 in Z, 3 in Y and 4 in X. Correct. If you now, while the register browser is still displayed, press RCL, then the 4 sitting in X duplicates also in Y, lifting the stack. This ...

Re: 43S News
OK, let's go step by step: 1.- Delete backup.bin 2.- Start the simulator 3.- Press R/S The program "Prime" starts and then stops at a certain step. 4.- Press GTO.. and the program pointer goes to the end of the program memory. You can check this by entering into program mode. 5.- Press R/S...

Re: 43S News
Hi Walter, I've found another weird behaviour. If you start the simulator for the first time, the program pointer is located on a program called "Prime". If you key GTO.. the program pointer moves to the end of the program memory. Now if you press R/S, nothing happens, as the pointer is in...

Re: 43S News
Hi Walter, Thank you for your reply. I can't see a complaint in my post at all. Maybe too much radioactivity there? I was pointing out what I (still) consider an inconsistency. I was effectively using the back arrow. From the Owner's Manual, Pag 319, I understand (obviously I am wrong) that key perf...

Re: 43S News
Hi, I have just realized that CLX doesn't always clear (make it zero) the x register: Try 8 ENTER 9 CLX, and you will see the previous 8 instead of a 0. Here CLX behaves as an UNDO of the previous input. Try 5 ENTER 8 + .You will have 13 in the X register. Then press 5, and the 13 goes to Y. Then CL...

Re: 43S News
I don’t know how this is coded but as a user I would expect to see: 0010 arcsin 0011 RCL __ 0012 |x| after pressing RCL. Totally agree (possibly influenced by using an HP-41 since 1982). Giving a line number to the new instruction only after completion sounds weird to me, as the new instruction is ...

Re: 43S News
If you relaunch the simulator again, the number that causes the program Fact to shut down the simulator is smaller each time this happens. If you delete backup.bin, the greater number allowed is 49.
Hope this helps.

Manuel.

Re: 43S News
I am playing with the programs in RAM, and when you use a number greater than 43 with the Fact program, the simulator shuts down without giving any error. Strange as the correct answer is not even close to the calculator limits. The only settings I changed was to set "EUR" mode. Regards, M...
