Re: Editor bug using delete [VIDEO]

Hi Boubker,

See viewtopic.php?p=18374#p18374 for more information.
I guess your finding is similar to the problems reported there.

Best regards,
Thomas

Re: Question about a result

I think it strange that HP calculators and derivates are not able to find the real solution -1.0458. I tried with HP 41, DM 15, DM 41X and HP prime.
The HP35s does (since it also has a [xth_root_y] key) ...

18 [+/-] [ENTER] 11 [/] 11 [xth_root_y] returns -1.04578791771 on the HP35s.

Re: Another peculiarity (not multiline!)

Yes, the third resultat (just aborting the scrolling, and no change of line) is much more seldom, but happens now and then - if you are stubborn enough :geek:
If you try in SLOW mode, then it is even more frequent (feels like hitting the exact timing between the scrolling of the characters).

Another peculiarity (not multiline!)

Hi! Well, I wouldn't call this a bug, but it migh appear as one ... Enter a short program: 01 LBL 01 02 "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNO" (ie a full text-string) 03 + 04 END Stay in PRGM-mode, but change to display-mode (SA+X-reg) - ie not multiline mode. Now, step through the program using "arrow up...

Re: another multiline editer bug

Hi again, Think I found a way to (almost always) reproduce this bug consistantly. Enter a small program last in memory (anything with 2 or more lines - and with .END. as last line) Still being in PRGM-mode, execute "CAT 1" - will leave .END. highlighted Press "arrow up" one or tw...

Re: another multiline editer bug

Some more findings related to this issue: I can now almost 100% reproduce the error, and it always happens after a multibyte entry (or at least multi key entry). As was described by EM41 in https://forum.swissmicros.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=2501 it only happens when the instruction is entered by...

Re: another multiline editer bug

Hi! I have tried to reproduce it, and I can sometimes, but not always. Sometimes, line 02+03 are deleted, sometimes line 01+02 but more often only line 02 is deleted (as expected). One thing I noticed which might give a clue to what is happening is the following: * Follow the steps by EM41 up until ...

Re: Display test ... not 100% correct?

This is the complete character map as I have found it (in the DM41X): charset0_sml.png charset1_sml.png (Note that character 0x2C, 0x2E and 0x3A typically are represented as ',', '.' and ':') Again, note that all characters in the upper table always are displayed together with a colon, and in multi ...

Re: Display test ... not 100% correct?

Hehe, that's just a few ... Code 0x61, 0x81, 0xA1, 0xC1 and 0xE1 all of them generates a lower case 'a' (the last 4 of them accompanied by a colon .. ) ;) In part 0x80-0x9F is duplicated at 0xC0-0xDF, and 0xA0-0xBF is duplicated at 0xE0-0xFF. So there is a lot of duplictes in the full byte table ......

Re: Display test ... not 100% correct?

Hi Massimo, Yes, that look like it! All characters, but different codes. Eg. 0x91 (145) is the delta, 0x94 I don't know ... "LX"? :geek: But 0xA0 it "text" and 0xA1 is "a" on the DM41X. So all characters are there (and I haven't seen any other characters in the DM41X no...
