Re: Multiplication and Division in mcode
Hi, There are no instructions for multiplication or division in MCode, only instructions for addition and subtractions are available. Anything else must be implemented with existing instructions. You can read more about the available instructions e.g. here: https://literature.hpcalc.org/items/1605 Y...

Re: Flag 0 ... ?
Thanks Bruce! Yes,I had some modules "plugged" in, e.g. Printer and PPC-ROM, but also the HP-16C Emulator ... and that explained it! I should have RTFM since there it says that: In other words, flags 0,1, and 2 are reserved as they are taken over by the 16C Emulator in ther role of signed/...

Flag 0 ... ?
Hi! I just noticed on my DM41X that the flag 0 is set when the calculator is turned on - is there a reason for this? I.e. I can clear the flag (CF 0) and the annunciator ('0') is cleard from the display (FS? 00 -> NO), then power off and power on again and the flag is immediately set (showing the '0...

Re: HP Financial Pac - Compound Interest "Nonexistent"
If I read between the lines to your responses I assume this means you never want to have two modules loaded at the same time, correct? You need to unload the existing before loading a new one? No, you can have (at least theoretical) more than 8 modules at the same time, but placed in different port...

Re: HP Financial Pac - Compound Interest "Nonexistent"
I tried using the yellow keys a whole bunch of times to see what exactly the calculator flashes up for a few milliseconds before displaying NONEXISTENT. I've been able to read it all - it flashes up "XROM 22,10" before displaying NONEXISTENT. Keep the button pressed, and you will see what...

Re: HP Financial Pac - Compound Interest "Nonexistent"
In the second step in the example, "[XEQ] [ALPHA] MONEY [ALPHA]", the initialization for the program is made. It includes setting flag 27 (SF 27 which enables USER-mode), setting the number of decimals (FIX 2), correct SIZE etc. and finally show "CLR?" in the display (with USER m...

Re: HMS- command
On the HP-41C/CV/CX the following is true: FIX 9 14.36 ENTER 11.37 HMS- 2.585999999 14.37 ENTER 11.38 HMS- 2.590000002 So yes, it is a rounding issue on the 41 (and similar), eg. the HP32SII behaves the same (but with higher precision): 14.36 ->HR (== 14.6) 11.37 ->HR (== 69.7/6 ~= 11.61666666667) -...

Re: DM41X INFRARED COMPATIBILITY WITH HP-48GX
FIXIT from Joe Horn and Mika Heiskanen should be ONE solution Naw ... it doesn't work ... tried it on the received string :( "Bad Argument Value" error: the string wasn't of the proper form; it must be an "HPHP48-..." downloaded string. It might work with the MAWK library: https...

Re: DM41X INFRARED COMPATIBILITY WITH HP-48GX
Hi again, I found my old 48-cable, and managed to hook it up to my PC and downloaded the INPRT program to the 48GX. Actually I managed to send data from the DM41X to the 48GX - but it was quite hard. I had to put them really close (~10mm) and align the beam until I got it right, after that I could t...
