Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.22 / DM42-3.20

I simply mean, that you can take advantage of this behaviour, whether it is a bug or not. We better ask Michael for an explanation. Regards, Nissen Done (I have asked). They could not find an error, and the mentioned downgrade to the previous release confirmed this. Nevertheless, for me it remains ...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.22 / DM42-3.20

I have observed the same behaviour. However, it gives you an advantage: If you perform an operation on the DM42 that causes a heavy current drain on the battery and then reverts to a low current state of the calculator where the voltage indicator i visible, you can thereby get an impression of the ...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.22 / DM42-3.20

@Didier & Bob. Thanks so much to both of you! edit: I reverted to DMCP_flash_3.21_DM42-3.18.bin and checked the battery voltage display behavior, reported at https://forum.swissmicros.com/viewtopic.php?p=21537#p21537 by peet. Result: same behavior, so it's definitly not caused by DMCP-3.22 / DM4...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.22 / DM42-3.20

Has anyone successfully "downgraded" to older versions of DMCP and/or DM42?
Or is there any risk of something going wrong?
(I would try to check, if some observations also did exist in older releases.)

Re: Battery use while off

Please add your values (with old/new firmware), so we should have more specific observations.
Peet started this, only SwissMicros can answer this questions.
Then SwissMicros (Michael, David) should investigate.

Re: Battery use while off

and yes, this behavior is new for me. Have you explicitly tried also with an older firmware version? (and the voltage is not dropping during that rapid on/off sequence?) This behavior I have never seen before. It's not only during on/off sequence, as Peet mentioned in https://forum.swissmicros.com/...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.22 / DM42-3.20

@Michael (SwissMicros),
please have a look at this posting viewtopic.php?p=21537#p21537,
regarding observations on rapid change of battery voltage.
Maybe this is related to the new version of DMCP.

Many thanks in advance!

Re: Battery use while off

After seeing this behavior for the first time (DMCP-3.22 / DM42-3.20 not state-file loaded), I'm not sure whether it's new or has always been. Normally the voltage shows 2.97 or 2.98V, if I switch the DM42 off and on again, then it usually shows about 0.02V less: off/on - 2.95, off/on - 2.92, off/o...

Downloaded & installed. All OK, as usual.
Now testing.
Thank you!
+1 from me!
