Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.14 / DM42-3.14

So in my quick testing, it appears that the keyboard does prioritize left to right. So if I am still holding down a 7, 4, 1, 0, I can enter any of the other integers. However, if I hold down say, a 9, 6, 3, then I can't enter 7,8,4,5,1,2,0. My guess would be that when you're quickly entering a 1,5,0...

Re: Store and Recall extra steps

It's one of the benefits that the HP 42s by default had 25 storage registers (R00 -- R24). And you can resize it to be even larger if you like (up to 100 with direct addressing, more with indirect). Re: DM42- clock losing time

Mine is from Dec 2017 as well. I set the clock initially but then realized I really didn't care to see it displayed and haven't looked at it since. Currently about 6 minutes fast. Re: Problem with the solver

You've probably double-checked already, but is everything entered correctly? I entered what you had into the DM42 with 15 for A and 5 for B and pressing C resulted in 20 as expected.

The last one in the TalenPhilips collection is the one I was referring to. It's one of my favorite off-images.

Re: HHGTTG

Someone did post a nice version with the planet and the hitchhiker thumb and those words. I have it on my calculator but I don't remember who made it.

Re: Empty CUSTOM menu

What if, for some reason, you wanted to assign a program to the second row and leave the first blank? :D

Re: Solve Systems of Equation with Complex Coefficients

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding but would it be the same as with a regular matrix but just using a complex matrix? Create the empty matrix, press Enter to duplicate it, then press COMPLEX to create a complex matrix. Then fill in the matrix with the complex numbers? Create correctly sized matrix A, dupl...

Which makes me wonder if I could solder a small 3V cap across the two battery lines to smooth out such brief losses of power.
You could do that Dave. Or you could just, you know, not drop your calculator :D

Re: Help?

There is an updated version of the Convert program by Dave Britten that doesn't do that.
