Re: DM41X or DM42?

Many thanks...I had had a look around to see if this had been discussed before but I managed to completely miss that one!

DM41X or DM42?

So. A dilemma. I already have too many calculators but I feel the desire for one of the SM new portrait layout models but I am stuck at which to choose. I already liked the look of the DM42 since it uses Free42 but then along comes the DM41X; I use a "real" HP41cv and the DM41L so I'm comf...

Re: DM41 keypad legend separating

So, I have had my DM-15 for ages (it's the old type with 32k memory) and I have had difficulties with the keypad membrane coming unstuck and making the stick/unstick noise when in use. Whilst this can usually be corrected, at least for a while, by warming it and pressing the front into place while i...

Re: DM41 keypad legend separating

Morning all, I have used the DM cc-sized units since they first came out. My original DM15 suffers occasionally with the unsticking overlay but I usually find that heating it up and letting it cool whilst clamped in position does the job pretty well. A friend who has a later model also had the same ...

Re: DM15 - When can I order one?

Do you want it for display or for computing? The latter is far easier with a DM15L, though still more difficult than with your DM42. Personally I find the CC-sized models (I have the 15) extremely useful as a pocket calculator, with its small size making it very easy to keep available. If sitting a...

Re: Do not use Firmware V30 for DM1x/41

That makes sense!

Can you give any detail about just what the issue was and how it caused increased power consumption?

Regards

Re: Do not use Firmware V30 for DM1x/41

Hi All,

As a small update, I monitored the current drawn in v29 and v30 on my DM-41L and I cannot see any noticeable difference between them. I shall complete the same test with v31 tomorrow but I'm not expecting anything dramatic to show up...

Hmm, perhaps I should just try it on my 41L again and see what happens...
