Re: Custom help files?

The "Web-Browser" of the DM42 is very rudimentary and in best case compatible to HTML 2.0. So many HTML>2.0-Tools make code which ist not understandable from the DM42. But making HTML-documents at this level is relatively easy and can be done with any simple editor. I think it is an advant...

DM42 (DM41X) 3D Printable Keyboard Stencil

Hello all! I tried to make a 3D printable keyboard stencil for the DM42 (and probably DM41X too). See: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4917437/files I think the old HP41 had something like that to "handwrite" some key functions on it. To be honest: I don't see much use in it so far - do ...

Re: Useful Content for the "Ultimative OFFIMG"

Hello all!

I would like to complement the "Output" of this (old) post, the periodic table

and the "ASCII ruler"

with a new picture of time zones, which might be useful for "DM42-Travellers":

Re: Easy way to calculate function values, solve and integrate

Hello Thomas! Thank's for enlightening me. To enter two x-values (perhaps with ENTER) to define an interval is good to know. Actually I decided to calculate all three exercises (function value, root, integral) comfortable by entering the formula as f(X)-Y=0: * Calculate a function value with SOLVER,...

Re: Easy way to calculate function values, solve and integrate

Hi Werner!

A program to engage the solver - that's quite tricky.

I found out that leaving the solver, STO an init value to X (ie -5) and solving again finds the negative root.

Thanks for this private lesson.

Re: Easy way to calculate function values, solve and integrate

Hello Werner! Thanks for your fast reply. I didn't know VARMENU - and always wanted a solution with values from the stack. I added VARM to my customer menu. Let me ask two additional questions: * While solving I always get the positive solution (1.41). How can I initialize a negative value to start ...

Easy way to calculate function values, solve and integrate

Hello all! Actually this is a HP42S topic too: Is there an easy way to implement a function (only once) and calculate function values respective solve and integrate this function? For example I would like to implement the function Y=X*X-2. Now I want to calculate the value of Y for X=5, solve Y=0 (x...

Re: Useful Content for the "Ultimative OFFIMG"

Great! I just have to turn my calculator on and off again until I get to the month I want! :) toml - your creative comments are always inspiring. This one inspires me to a program for the DM42 which calculates the day of a date (month) and prints out some monthly table. I guess parts of such a prog...

Re: Useful Content for the "Ultimative OFFIMG"

And the hits keep coming! You've already done so much, but would you consider a second version of the calendar with the weeks starting on Sunday? Dear Mark! Every suggestion/correction is highly welcome. In addition I made some optical corrections in the original. Et vóila: cal2020.bmp cal2020SU.bm...
