Re: 43S News

Hypergeometric probability formula perhaps for Comb? Probability of X successes in n trials given T total successes possible and N items in the population. Usually X, n, T and N are given and you solve for the probability. However, it should be possible for one of X, n, T or N be unknown with a give...

Re: Software updates?

...one year in which the code has been remarkably stable and error free. Kudos in the extreme for such a well designed and capable product.

Now, new features would be nice, of course... :-)

Re: DM17L Concept Idea

That still would not provide compatibility... if the argument is in X, then the stack would be different on this 17 than it would on the 12c. That said :-) I don't know how many people who have a 12c really program it and those that do could probably figure out how to modify it. I was just wanting t...

Re: DM17L Concept Idea

It would be compatible with HP-12C programs... except for instructions like yellow f 8 or yellow f 2 to change the display setting. Have to have a FIX instruction, which this model does not have, to allow decimal settings to be changed. That's the only way the 12C can use the yellow shifted number k...

So, what's missing from DM41X and plug in roms ?

Was thinking the other day, what's missing (if anything). I am assuming users understand what is in the library of DM41X roms (such as Sandmath, etc.) 1) Alternate font (yes, I know, dead horse). 2) Double or extended precision. The answer to this one could be, "Use the DM42" of course. Bu...

Re: Could someone educate me on options for HEPAX RAM size?

Interesting! Evidently the work needed to convert a HEPAX RAM page to a standalone ROM module is less than I thought. ;) Gene: Please do not try what I suggest without a backup of your machine. I think it worked fine, but if you have the only copy of a program in RAM don't try it without a backup. ...

Re: Could someone educate me on options for HEPAX RAM size?

Reason I asked is that I know you need the Hepax module to change anything in a Hepax ram page, but I was able in the past to still access programs in a hepram page with the hepax module unplugged.

Had not intended to do that :-) but it did work.

So I'm curious. Bigger :-)

Re: Could someone educate me on options for HEPAX RAM size?

Angel... so what that represents is ... Hepax RAM pages in pages 8, 9, A and B. Each of those would be 4K of Hepax RAM. however, they are only useful if the contents had already been loaded with Hepax functions. Once loaded, the hepax module is then unplugged and the hepax ram still works to access ...

New mod files for Monte's 2/6/21 update

Note that there are updated rom files at Monte's 41CL site for these:

4LIB, 4MTI, ADVG, CEPH, FLDB, LEPH, ZMAT

Is there any place for the corresponding .mod files to be found? Sorry if I'm asking something covered more than once!
