This is the correct sub-forum. From the landing page for the 41X beta:

Hardware issues
The DM41X and the DM42 share the same hardware. This forum therefore simply links to the "Hardware issues" sub-forum within the DM42 forum.
Oh yes, you're right of course

Re: Rapid wear with shift key

Anyone else have an issue with the color of either the [SHIFT] or [ALPHA] keys wearing off quickly? I have been using my 41X for about a day and am already seeing wear on the top of the [SHIFT] key. ... The key itself works fine. Hm yes, that's not really nice, the color comes off very easily, to b...

Re: Custm menu ambiguity

To add to the confusion, enter this small programme: 01 LBL "SIN" 02 123456 03 END Now press the "SIN" in your CUSTOM menu. Huh! Conclusion: When assigning something to the custom menu the choice of Functions, Programs etc. just lets you select easily what you want to assign to a specific key. It do...

Re: AIP and big numbers

I don't think it's a bug or error. Manual pg. 133 "When the Alpha register fills up, characters at the left end of the register (the "oldest" characters) are lost to make room for the new data."

I guess it doesn't matter whether new characters are appended or the new string is to long itself.

Re: 43S News >> Call to the Community <<

Please be a bit more specific about what you were looking for, else it's difficult to help you (and at the beginning you wanted to support us, didn't you?). I was looking for a complete high resolution face plate that I can simply reduce to the required size, as I did with the outdated overlay. If ...

There's no need for pixel arts ;) : you can just take https://gitlab.com/Over_score/wp43s/blob/master/DM42%20binary/WP43S_overlay.xcf and https://gitlab.com/Over_score/wp43s/blob/master/DM42%20binary/Key_stickers.xcf and merge them. 8-) Yes, you can. I've seen these before. That's not what I'd be l...

Re: 43S News >> Call to the Community <<

I don't find another layout that I could manipulate so it does fit. I don't do pixel arts. Re: 43S News >> Call to the Community <<

Hmm, the link works o.k. for me and it's definitely the WP43S. Did you use the link in Walter's post? That of course shows the wrong layout still. Perhaps Walter could disable that erroneous link? I'm not going to manipulate that link - it would be falsification of records. ;) Anyway, the WP43S lay...

Re: 43S News >> Call to the Community <<

Hi Guenter, The graphic (updated as per your last mail) strangely reflects the incorrect model, unless Google is caching an old or other version to me. I hope not. Please just check, the file that I can download via the link above does not reflect a WP43S but a WP43C (Layout 2) as per https://forum...
