Re: May 2022 Speculations
I'm not very familiar with the 32SII. I've read up a bit on it, but I can't seem to see what makes this particular model desirable when compared to the current available models? Would it be like a lower cost DM42? Maybe there is much more to it that hasn't been announced yet as well. Apples and ora...

Re: New Free42 utilities: inconsistent (?) behaviour at long button press
I see; I had a feeling that the "inconsistency" was in reality a lack in my understanding of the machine.

Re: Bug in FUNC and LNSTCK?
I had no problems with the upgrade.
But Google Play must have broken some kind of record.

New Free42 utilities: inconsistent (?) behaviour at long button press
Just an observation:
In non-programming mode I can use a "long button press" to figure out that, for example, RTNY is the abbreviation of RTNYES.
I cannot use the same method to figure out that RTNE is the abbreviation of RTNERR (because I immediately get Restricted Operation).

Re: buttons that don't register well
The shift key on my DM 42, sn 03805, has always been tricky to use, it seems to register about half the time. This morning I noticed that there is a slight gap between the upper and lower parts of the case in the corner nearest the shift and exit keys. I opened the case to see if something was misa...

Re: Question about a result
To add to the list of HP calculators that have the \(\sqrt[x]{y}\) function and return the real result : HP 32SII.
The solver in DM42 will return the real result (but is of course more complicated to use).
Edit 1: Grammar.
Edit 2: The DM42 solver will find the real result.

Re: .END. in XEQ menu
My original question was extremely unclear. What I actually wanted to know was if there was any reason for .END. to clutter my XEQ menu when it's already in the GTO menu, where it doesn't annoy me. If I understand Thomas Okken correctly, in non-programming mode both XEQ and GTO takes the user to the...

Re: .END. in XEQ menu
Thank you both. So XEQ.END. lets me, the user , get to the code of a program without any global label. For example to edit it. But I get confused when you say "access". Do you mean that .END. lets a program ( FOO in Thomas' example) somehow jump/branch to a program without global labels?

I don't understand. Can you point to an example?
