Re: 43S News

Windows Simulator doesn't work for me, but the DM42 version does. Question about the menus. Is the line that is currently active (underlined, bold, inverse, etc.) marked when opening the menu (except for the index [],[f] or [g])? Can I alternatively use the cursor keys to highlight the currently act...

Re: 43S News

For an accurate documentation it is essential that you can make a binding note of the individual keystrokes. Personally, however, I find this complete documentation sometimes annoying when reading. It is important to me in which menu I find the functionality, whereby this should also be obvious. So...

Re: 43S News

... There are many valid points which become apparent when really thinking this through. As of course Walter has been for quite some time. I think my personal favourite symbols at present would be HP-35s / HP-48 style arrows. They have no mathematical symbolism associated with them, like f and g, b...

One aspect more: So far, when you press [g], an elevated 'g' will be echoed. If you'd just have plain colours, what will be the echo?
I apologize for stealing the time. Something should be indexed, so the first choice is to leave [f] and [g] .

Re: 43S News

...So CPX and cpx are regarded being different items, CPX and CPX are not. 8-)... I take very theoretically with me, it might be possible, even if only in a parallel world, that CC can be replaced by cpx. Please take a long look to the keyboard of the HP-65 (the first scientific pocket calculator w...

Re: 43S News

I never had an HP-67, I couldn't afford the HP-29C either, so I first had to use a TI-51-III. With the HP-41C, the question of multiple shift keys never occurred to me. ... it followed mathematical convention calling functions f(x), g(x), h(x) (these 3 names are usually sufficient for whatever arbit...

Re: 43S News

... shouldn't the shift keys be "g" and "h"? Well, I can see that for "h" you would use the color green instead of the original color black. ... HP itself remained at "f" and "g" when the 16C appeared. I think this is inconsistent. And why should it be inconsistent?? Thanks in advance for enlighten...

Re: 43S News

I don't have much to contribute and you shouldn't take my contribution too seriously, but shouldn't the shift keys be "g" and "h"? Well, I can see that for "h" you would use the color green instead of the original color black. But it may well be that this point has already been discussed extensively...

Re: Benchmark Speed?

For me Windows 2000 Professional is my first choice platform to running V41, emu41, Emu71 and so on. Seeing here also the TRIG benchmark faster looks for me, that SPECTRE/MELTDOWN protection in newer operating system may slow down Free42Windows. But maybe I am wrong. The MATH benchmark must be a 32...
