Re: Benchmark Speed?

For me Windows 2000 Professional is my first choice platform to running V41, emu41, Emu71 and so on. Seeing here also the TRIG benchmark faster looks for me, that SPECTRE/MELTDOWN protection in newer operating system may slow down Free42Windows. But maybe I am wrong. The MATH benchmark must be a 32...

Re: Benchmark Speed?

Is that a typo in your MATH benchmark data, or is the 32-bit Windows build, running in a VM, really five times faster than the 64-bit Linux build, running on the metal on the same machine? I have a AMD Ryzen 5 2600 in the Office with native Windows 10. Tomorrow I can check Free42Windows dec...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.10 / DM42-3.10

Coming from DMCP v3.10 and DM42 v3.9.1 (first v3.10) I could no longer flash the firmware from the FAT. I had to use the bootloader and the DM_Tool. No matter which BIN file I tried.

I can confirm that mine crashes as well. SN 00245.
Just to note; mine crashes also connected to USB power and voltage indication 3,02V (5^E10)
Same here, crash on battery and USB power.

Re: [DM41] Should alarms turn DM41 on ?

My DM-41 works without problems with the firmware version V25 and XYZALM, but also with the previous versions. I always use the HP-41 Ultimate Alarm Clock (UAC) from Geir Isene. I work with CLK24 and DMY on 12MHz.

Re: Landscape DM42?

DM42L version. Do not forget the annunciators in alpha mode. The reserve column can also be used as a hint that all annunciators can be seen by pressing (Shift) ANNUN. If the operators have to go left, they must be in the order '-', '+', '*' and '/'..... EDIT: x^2, NOT 2^x and some other corrections

Re: Landscape DM42?

Annuciators: Maybe three of them are sufficient. At the top left longer bar for 'multirow menus', at the bottom left longer bar for 'shift', at the middle left a short bar indicating that one of the 'other annuciators' is on or active (flashing). "x:" and "y:" can be made a little narrower. The left...
