Re: Question about a result

The correct answer is : https://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=-%282%2F11%29%5E%281%2F11%29*3%5E%282%2F11%29 -1.045787917714882796046987298089 8735 86767669934361619669582805400.... So the correctly rounded result to 34 digits is -1.045787917714882796046987298089 874 Thus, the WP43S shows THE correct...

Re: Kind of "overflow" in integers

Bumping the maximum WSIZE up to 112 would require a significant amount of work because the current code for binary functions in Free42 makes heavy use of 64-bit integers. Since 128-bit integers are not universally supported yet in C++, the code would have to be implemented using pairs of 64-bit int...

In my professional experience, 1 muggeseggele is a fraction of 1 µm.
My father was a tool and die maker, and he has until today an almost daily use of a local variation of it: a Muggeseckel. It's not very precise, but it's not measurable for him but existing.

The correctly rounded intermediate calculations are: sin(9) = 0.1564344650402308690101053194671669 cos(0.1564344650402308690101053194671669) = 0.9999962727428850241175162050...

Re: 43S News

The last poll on this subject being in 2012, I would tend to propose a new poll to the roughly 80 members of the forum having "pre-ordered" a 43S in this thread.
4 choices:
left or right and bottom up + - × / or / × + -
What do you think Walter?

Re: 43S News

I've been a supporter of right-sided operators like the 42S from the beginning.
If they have to be on the left, the order doesn't matter to me.
