I would like to be able to encode/decode programs even when I'm not connected to the internet. Where can I get the program that I can run on my machine (Linux/Mac)—preferably, the source code?
Thanks,
Mauricio
Stand alone Encoder/Decoder
Re: Stand alone Encoder/Decoder
What does that mean?
Could that really happen somehow?

Re: Stand alone Encoder/Decoder
Most airplanes do not have GOGO wifi yet. 15 hours to Sydney without encode/decode would be like a smoker doing the flight without nicorette gum

Walter!
I refrained from suggesting Geoff how to use those 15 hours, and you...

Re: Stand alone Encoder/Decoder
Beware!
These 15 hours have to be dedicated entirely for his employer. If he used this time to work on his [hidden word], which would be a commercial activity, he could be fired immediately. What a pity having just (almost?) attained the status of a Captain!
OTOH playing around all day in the cockpit, except for 15 minutes during departure and 20 minutes for the arrival procedures - that's of paramount importance for the cockpit crew to keep them alive, and awake for long 15 hours.
Consequently, never ever again ask Geoff to work on the [hidden word] while on the flight deck. You'd risk the future of this young man.
Günter, Captain myself for a couple of years.
Question: When the captain dates a flight attendant for [censored], Is that work or fun, suggestions?

Massimo!
I didn't talk of Geoff at all. I meant an (alas, so far hypothetical) user of this book (to be published yet).

Re: Stand alone Encoder/Decoder
I’d suggest that’s not a good topic to explore. Let’s stick to the DM42.Question: When the captain dates a flight attendant for [censored], Is that work or fun, suggestions?

Is he paid for this fun? If so, it's more like work (the kind of work I'd come out of retirement for!)

Re: Stand alone Encoder/Decoder
Apologies for not being clear. I’m talking about the raw file encoder/decoder service offered by Swiss Micros here:
https://www.swissmicros.com/dm42/decoder/
I’m looking for a standalone program that does the same thing without having to access that web address.
Thanks
