My beta is yellow too.Walter wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2017 3:58 pmThat must be a subtle difference between various beta units (I don't have a production unit). The alphabet on my key bezel is white and I'm happy with this choice.

Alphabet and "ON" is yellow on my production unit... I suppose the complete batch has the same bezel.

Unfortunately, the photo is too small to see much detail, and the bottom row is chopped-off, but thanks anyhow.
I'd guess all production units (so far) are the same.

Your EXIT key is as strange as mine (EX letters not aligned...).
Let's consider it gives a particular personality to our calcs...

Yes, this is MUCH better, thank you for the effort to do this, twice, for us impatient folks.
The font for the labels (much discussed during early beta) is bolder and seems to be easier to read in the photo.
On the beta units, the "E" in EXIT was a bit tilted, but it seems even more so in the production unit.
Thanks again for sharing!

Re: My Calculator DM42 ist arrived ;-)
Same very little issue here...
I used my old HP42S to "loosen" up the pouch and used the 42S pouch for the DM42 in the mean time.

Sorry, I was mislead by poor lighting and obviously wishful thinking: I've to correct myself - actually all prints on the keyplate are yellow so far. For sake of easy, intuitive operation this should not be - at least two colours are needed: yellow for the shifted labels and white for the unshifted (ON and all characters accessible in alpha input mode). I suggest putting this modification on the agenda for next batch.Walter wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2017 12:55 am1 + (Edit: white print is used for the alphabet already, so you have this color available at zero cost)zooropa1844 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2017 9:58 pm... then the ON should be written in white to keep the color logic of the keyboard. It's kind of misleading to picture it in yellow.
