UPDATE: DMCP-3.13 / DM42-3.13
Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.13 / DM42-3.13
Hi,
I cannot update...same here: No reponse to [ENTER]...had to hard reset my DM42. After that, the firmware file still is
on the root of the flash.
Strange....a product of SwissMicors refuses to use a product of SwissMicros....
Is there a way around this?
Cheers!
mcc
PS: OK. sorry was a little paniced and blinded....the dfu_util-way-of-flashing.... That works for me.
The new file browser-loader-directory-saver-handler-thingie is Uber-cool !
David & Michael...thanks a LOT for this update!
As always: Great stuff!
Cheers!... and have a nice weekend (with a wether way better as it is here...sigh)!

I've not checked this but from memory, the load/save program and load/save machine state dialogs always start in the /PROGRAM and /STATE directory respectively. If that directory does not exist, it is created.rprosperi wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 3:47 pmDM42-3.13 Update smooth and quick, no issues encountered (I used combo file).
Presumably creating (and removing/renaming) directories in the PROGRAMS folder can/should only be done via USB-connected PC?
Is there a sense of the 'current' folder being retained, and if so, what happens if that folder is deleted or renamed (remotely) while it is current?
Nice update guys, thanks for the hard work building and testing these mods to improve the DM42

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.13 / DM42-3.13
On my Mac, I tried copying the latest help file to /Volumes/DM42/HELP, from the Desktop, using the Finder. It stared at its navel for a suspiciously long time, and then the Finder reported Unexpected Error 100006, the disk disappeared, and the DM42 froze. After poking its reset hole, it was completely wiped.
For the second attempt, I copied the new help file, and the new firmware, using the command line. It worked fine that time, and so did the update.

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.13 / DM42-3.13
That could be due to an accidental unclean unmount / eject some time in the past, leaving the FAT file system in an inconsistent state.
Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.13 / DM42-3.13
Yes, it appears that the FAT disk was corrupted. After re-format there is no more issues.

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.13 / DM42-3.13
The help file I downloaded today (dm42help.htm Mar 17 2019) still says
Version 2019-01-29
Is there a newer version? If so where is it?

It does have some minor differences, but the Version string wasn't updated.toml_12953 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2019 11:02 pmThe help file I downloaded today (dm42help.htm Mar 17 2019) still says
