For Collectors

Michael,

Some of us are calculator users, and some of us are calculator collectors. I am a little of both, and would like to collect a complete set of the SwissMicros Voyager series. I have almost all of them, with just the DM10L missing. I understand the economic realities of very limited sales for niche calculators - but would you consider polling your customers to determine whether there is enough interest to do a small run of the less popular models (DM10L & DM11L?) to see whether it is worthwhile do do a final small batch? I understand that the small run price may need to be higher than your usual prices, and it may be wise to ask for pre-payment prior to undertaking the exercise. Just a thought for the collectors out there.

Regards,

Kim

Nice; vive la 10C, the 'redheaded stepchild', I suspect the only difference is the lexan decal.

There never was a DM10L.
The DM10 with less than 30 sold units in more than 5 years wasn't the hottest selling calculator...
I can do a DM10L at regular price if we find 20 people committing to buy one.

Michael, do you want me to set up a poll in order to get some idea of the take-up of a hypothetical DM10L?

Factually, the DM11L is a better alternative to work with. But that's no reason for a collector, is it?

It's also why the original HP-10C was short-lived. The HP-11C was not that much dearer but had much more potential, so people tended to pay out a little bit more for the HP-11C.

Obviously not.
And there's no point in a DM11 either, once you've got a 15, and a 41. Oh wait: you also have all those HPs too...

Yes, I completely understand that there are better alternatives. I like the red head analogy (apologies to all red heads out there). It's a collector thing! Put me down for one DM10L.

Kind regards,

Kim
