DM-41L - LCD adjustment not working

Post by cappy »

I"ve just updated the FW to V26 and tried to adjust the LCD.
When I hold CHS and turn power on, the LCD adjust menu is displayed, but the calc doesn't
respond to any of the + - 3 (etc) keys.

IS anyone else having this problem?

It looks like someone forgot to update the instructions.
The LCD adjustment keys are now 2 and . (decimal point)

Note that [3] and [Σ+] on the DM1x models are the same keys locations as the [2] and [.] keys on the DM41 model. These models are all the same h/w underneath, so the h/w controls work the same regardless of the f/w installed. Also, the instructions have been there for years before the DM41 came out, so it's clear to folks that have owned a DM1x before, but I agree the instructions could be improved by clarifying the keys to use for each model.

I had the same problem, didn't know about the keys switching since I'm a new user.

Would like to add a request to tweak the DM41 LCD adjustment as a "nice to have". When I tried increasing the contrast one notch the LCD went completely dark, decreased one notch from default and the LCD was unreadable (too light). The default is pretty good though so it is not a deal breaker.
