Re: DM41L versus DM15?
Thank you. I'd done that comparison already, but several functions for the HP-41cx showed 'option', which is why I asked.
Re: DM41L versus DM15?
The features that show as "Option" for the 41CX are generally provided in ROM pac modules that don't come built in.

Re: DM41L versus DM15?
Interesting. I wonder if there is sufficient memory in the calculator (and manpower) to implement them. Just thinking out loud, not a request!
Re: DM41L versus DM15?
There's actually precious little space left in Flash memory for the DM41/L. Not enough to add another ROM pac module anyway. If there was, which one would people want to see? There are so many to choose from...

Re: DM41L versus DM15?
I think the Advantage ROM is easily the most useful today, as it adds the 15C/34C Solver & Integration, as well as Matrix and Complex number support. But, it's a 16KB ROM, so the hardest one to squeeze in.
If you are going to consider adding ROMs, I think adding Angel Martin's OSX3 version of the CCD Module (with the required LIB4) should also be considered; while not as rich in pure math functions, it makes using a 41 much easier and more enjoyable.

Re: DM41L versus DM15?
Given that there's under 4K of space left, the possibilities are rather slim!

Re: DM41L versus DM15?
Just a thought, what about the 41CV ROM with added timing and advantage modules? Or modules chosen by the user to flash?
Edited to add: just wondering if the 41CV or even 41C ROMs would give you more memory to play with
Edited to add: found this, http://www.brouhaha.com/~eric/hpcalc/memory_size.html if I'm reading the table right, it looks like a lot of memory would be saved by going to the 41C ROM (far less available memory for programs etc), or even the 41CV (ROM about half the size but far more memory for programs than 41C). I am guessing flashing alternative ROMs is a bit more involved than just dragging and dropping though.
