Standalone DM42 decoder/encoder

Post by hsilop »

Has anybody developed a "standalone" DM42 encoder/decoder such as a bash script or python program? As an old keyboard jockey I'd prefer this to using the web site GUI.

Guess I could always write my own ... mmm.

The encoder/decoder behind the page on the SwissMicros site is written in PHP and does actually work as a standalone utility (I wrote it).

I have a number of other commitments to get out of the way first but in due course I'm going to make a few needed updates and can release it then.

Awesome. PHP works for me. You can run that from the command line if need be.

I wrote an encoder in python. Haven’t done the decoder yet.

Visual Studio encodes. Unsure if it decodes.
