I'm not really against it. I have never tried it on that side. If the majority want it then maybe there is some advantage to it I can't think of. I am more curious than anything as to why most people prefer it that way.

Personally, I'd say I am fairly agnostic.

Because that is how virtually all pre-Pioneer (and non-Voyager) machines did it. Which is correct is usually determined by which models you used first, and lots of users here an on MoHPC Forums cut their RPN teeth on HP's Classic, Woodstock, Spice and Nut machines, where Left is always Right.

Instead, you should be happy about a significant increase of the amount of supporters. :D

I am, but support could be phrased differently. :D

Just joking, of course...

No, I'm just using your brilliant phrase, bringing it above the signature line, where it may be missed.

A small license fee may be in order, feel free to bill me... :)

I'm the programmer who has been working on the WP43S simulator for a year now. The task is huge and I won't be able to do it alone in a reasonable time.
Are there any HP geeks out there who are C programmers interested in participating in the development of the WP43S simulator?
The two tasks that are easy to delegate without step on one another's toes are the followings:
- Write comprehensive tests for (almost) all program functions. There are currently 850 of them and this number is growing rapidly.
- Improve and enhance the simulator's user interface.
I would like to help as well, but I would need some guidance. I think I am a fairly quick learner, but reinventing wheels have little appeal to me...

Hi all,

What we have achieved so far is a 43S simulator doing all the basic transcendental math, unit and angular conversions. Register, stack, flag, and menu handling works. :) Higher level stuff is missing still. This simulator runs on Windows PCs. It runs on the target system, too, but there is still a lot of work to do (coding, implementing, testing) before we can even think of giving the simulator to the community.

Our headcount has reached four - since it's a hobbyist's project, however, we are most willing to continue extending our firmware team. So if you are more than just interested in a serious scientific RPN calculator becoming reality, you are invited to join the team. Thanks in advance! :D

Almost forgot mentioning: the odds are high you won't earn nothing with this project but fame in the community. 8-)

Just a point of clarification: the simulator runs on linux too, the development can be done on Window and/or Linux (I don't know how to do it on Mac)
