We need you for the 43S. Yes, you!

I'm the programmer who has been working on the WP43S simulator for a year now. The task is huge and I won't be able to do it alone in a reasonable time.
Are there any HP geeks out there who are C programmers interested in participating in the development of the WP43S simulator?
The two tasks that are easy to delegate without step on one another's toes are the followings:
- Write comprehensive tests for (almost) all program functions. There are currently 850 of them and this number is growing rapidly.
- Improve and enhance the simulator's user interface.

I'd love to help, but only have UNIX systems here at home (Linux, Solaris, MacOS). Is that of any use, or is Windows required?

Linux is OK. I use linux for development myself with codeblocks. By the way, Windows is OK too.

Hi,

I'd love to help too. I have never had a WP34, but I have a little C(++) programming experience on Linux/Windows (mostly Qt stuff).
Do you use git or another version control system?

Best regards
Gert

PS: I do have a DM42, though. I assume the emulator and the "real" calculator firmware (will) share the same code (minus some of the UI, obviously)?

Will the /*-+ keys be on the right or left side in the final version of the DM43?

This has already been discussed a lot e.g. here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1816&hilit=operatio ... t=60#p7610

The odds are high they will be on the left side given the results of the polls years ago. If there would be a change, however, more must be modified than just those four operators. And you'd have to convince the developers.
