Good to know. I just received mine this week and I was looking everywhere to solve the "problem" of the screen staying on.

I'm taking a similar path. I don't like it at all when a different image appears every time I turn it off so I only have one visually very appealing image in the OFFIMG-folder on my DM42 and DM41X.
I think it's a bit of a shame that there is no way to select an image manually without an USB connection to the PC.

I have one image for each type of device, it includes device name (like DM42, C37 etc) my name and emailadres. If I've lost my calculator, the finder can contact the legal owner.
