Suggestion: Change of the offset of the deletion cursor to the top of the screen while deleting lines of code

Post by mcc »

Hi,

when deleting program lines I normally position the cursor at the end
of the range I want to delete and press "<-" for each line I want to
delete.

When the end of that range is out of screen when I start to delete lines
the cursor went up until it hits "End of screen" ;) at the top of the LCD.

This way one can see that line which is about to be deleted next only.

I would suggest a hopefully small change of the firmware so that the cursors
moves up only it reaches - say - the fourth line counted from the top of the
LCD. This way one would have a better overview what is about to be deleted.

After the top line of the program is displayed the cursor will be "freed" and is
allowed to delete the last four lines also.

What do you think?

Cheers!
Meino
