I think Michael just has a pile of case backs, and grabs them at random to assemble the calculators for shipment.

As soon as I saw it, I thought of the same thing

I made Ray Bradbury late for a speech at Palomar College in San Marcos CA many moons ago

Oh, you must not post such comment and leave it at that. Please, we must hear the entire story!

No story, recognized him in the parking lot, and we spoke for 45 minutes, 15 minutes past a full auditorium, he was casual about it.

I got a really good seat...

How many seconds after 12:15 pm?

Please, let's be more specific.
And "at about 6 am" is way too generic.

I am disappointed.

Anybody here with an even DM42 serial number? I only see odd numbers according to signatures.
If we'd combine alternating SNs (some later ordered devices have lower SN) combined with shipping date, we might find Michael's numbering scheme. Maybe a 3rd order equation? ^^
Or is it just a random# thing? ;)

Are you sure it wasn’t 451 minutes late? :)

Did he give up and burn his notes?
