These are the character available in HP-42S, Free42, DM42.
There are no plans to extend this character set.

There appears to be 14 undefined character spaces there in your character map, surely these could be utilised with some greek math characters ?........

I vote against such a change. A very useful feature (for me, ymmv) of the DM42 is the ability to exchange programs with Free42 and a real 42S. Obviously things like the extended graphics would not apply, but otherwise they are about 99% compatible if not 100%. Seems to me the marginal benefit (though I really can't weigh this for others) of a few extra special characters is not justified. Just one opinion though.

It's strange that the Euro sign is missing - but maybe Michael has foreseen it's demise

HP42s, introduced in 1987.
Euro, rolled out slowly in the late 1990s.
