Hi all,
still playing with my DM41L and DM15L. Wonderfull calculators
DM41L En/Decoder tool seams to overwrite display format (SCI, FIX, ENG).
Try this...
reset the DM41L to have a blank calculator, put the display in FIX 9 for example (any thing but FIX 4)
switch to CONSOLE and use Putty ("s") to grab the code
put the code in the En/Decoder
then do "decode" + "encode" (when you decode you see that the code is changed)
put back the code to putty ("l") and push it to the DM41L
FIX 9 was replaced by a FIX 4 on the calculator (same behavior with SCI and ENG).
Not a big problem of course, just to log the problem... and may be other data that I'm not aware of are overwritten by the En/Decoder?
PS: this problem does not exist in the DM15L En/Decoder
Sincerely,
Boubker.

Re: [DM41L] En/Decoder seams to ovewrite display format
This is known.
The only thing that the encoder/decoder actually works with is program lines. It is the same principle for the DM1x encoder/decoder as well.

There are only 10 kinds of people in the world: those who understand binary and those who do not.

Thanks for the anwser,
but it the endoder /decoder for the DM15L doestn't overwrite the display format. Just checked again...
