Re: PRLCD with new graphical modes

Now, if you could just assign “saving the screen to an image” to a blank key, instead of going through the menus. Which menus? To save a screenshot of the LCD you just have to press simultaneously Shift + DISP. My bad. I was thinking of the load/save program menu. I keep forgetting about Shift+Disp.

Re: PRLCD with new graphical modes

Maybe SwissMicros next project should be high resolution IR inkjet printer. Just save a screenshot of your lcd display, transfer it to your PC, then print it from there. This way you’ll always have hard and soft copies of that image, without needing to dump it or a printer. This is much more straig...

Re: DM42 hung during img copy, USB file system erased

Also make sure you're running the latest firmware (V3.4a). A fix was put into V3.4 to eliminate these spurious crashes and gain a bit of execution speed, and V3.4a was released almost immediately afterwards to correct a bug that had crept in making it impossible to alter the mute setting. I think t...

What is the raw format?

I've seen this encoder/decoder page
https://www.swissmicros.com/dm42/decoder/index.php

how do I convert programs to this format?

I have an HP42 program that was OCRd from a PDF, but
would like to get it into the .RAW format, so that I can
load & run it in my DM42.

Thanks

Re: ON and off (images)

That's feature creep no more, that's feature rush!  Heh heh! Not to worry. The 12 GHz, 512-core processor that runs for three weeks on one charge that I want in the new unit should be able to handle the extra load of a color screen. Do you need hot water for your shower? As well as for...

HP42 Quickref card

I bought this from Ebay for $4.95 including shipping, and find it quite useful since I'm a newbie to the 42. Yeah, I know there is a help screen, but I think it's easier to look at your program on the calc while you have documentation in another medium. Does anyone else feel it would be useful to ha...

Re: Attachment limits

How do we get permissions for attachments (jpgs)? WHat are the file size limits? Jeezus- we don't use dialup modems to access the web these days. The recommended way to share graphics is to upload them to a file sharing service then include a link here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xr4c3cx1zlb6hto/Hoo...

Re: Switch bounce or?

Several persons as well as myself noticed this indeed. In my case not only with enter, also with other keys. There is a specific thread about this: https://forum.swissmicros.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=442 Thanks. I'm glad to see othes have mentioned the B-word. It is odd that the ENTER key seems ...

Switch bounce or?

Sometimes the enter key gets pressed two times, inadvertantly. That may be that I'm not a heavy calc user so that the stiffness doesn't diminish as quickly as it would for other users. Although, I can't say that the enter key is prohibitively stiff- not what I expected after reading the reports of t...
