Re: Who knows HP's keyboard fonts?
Found very close fonts for almost every letter but the exchange character: 34C_xy.png Any ideas where to find this? Another solution is to use two characters and apply kerning. Below, I used a Unicode right dart arrow and left dart arrow. I set the right arrow as superscript and the left arrow as s...

Re: Wrong module config: locked out!
Have you tried re-flashing using dm_tool or dfu-util?
There needs to be a way to unplug all modules when pressing reset. Hopefully the feature already exists.

Re: Additional Option for the SI Screen
The DSP key could rotate between showing four lines (XYZT), two line SI and one line SI modes. In one line SI mode the extra space could be used to show the current module configuration.
Just a thought.

Re: [DM10L] The wait is over!
Ordered day one, shipped by Michael, same day. Still have not rcvd my DM10L. Probably lost in the US Postal Service. 19 days in transit. The DM41X arrived today, seven days in transit. Patiently waiting to complete the set. Gave up on the first order as lost in the postal system. Ordered another an...

Re: Naïve Analysis of TRNG
I'll post the results tomorrow. I made a slight adjustment to the planned analysis. After accumulating the random number, the routine loops between 10 and 109 times to ensure a measurable random time delay between calls to TRNG: -- Count TRNG result into 100 buckets SIZE 100 01 LBL ABC 02 TRNG -- G...

Re: Naïve Analysis of TRNG
I'm not expert either but the deficiencies reported are probably due to the cadence of the sample generation. Remember that this function uses the current time as seed, so sample points so near to one another may skew the results negatively. The program loops very quickly to garner all those points...

Re: Calculator Turns Off After Stopping Long Running Program
This should be easy to verify. XEQ "ON" disables the auto-shut-off timer in the 41 OS. So just do that and re-run the long execution time tests and the power-off should not occur. It's still a bug of course, but this would completely confirm that is the cause. I repeated the scenario afte...

Naïve Analysis of TRNG
Let me preface this by saying that I'm no Namir (shoot, I'm not even worthy to walk in his shadow). I thought I'd do a quick and dirty analysis of the new Time-Based (True) Random Number Generator (TRNG) function. As mentioned in a previous posting I used the following to generate and count the rand...

Re: Calculator Turns Off After Stopping Long Running Program
I assume it turns-on again when pressing ON ? If so, what is the battery level? Try running it for half as long, stop it and check the battery level, then interval-half, increasing each run until you (presumably) eventually will reach a point where the battery drop is notable. Also, check the clock...
