Re: Case for Voyager 'L' size

thanks Bob; shame those Samson cases aren't easily available here. Buying from US without an included customs service can result in excess charges being applied at this end (e.g. "handling charge").

Re: Case for Voyager 'L' size

thanks very much both. I have to say I much prefer the leather versions. Have seen too many tatty flaking vinyl ones.

I bought a 17b with folding case on eBay, so that will do for my 42s.

The Voyagers will do in the tobacco pouches until I find something better.

Re: Improved Keyboard????

Does anyone know if these oily domes, causing keys sometimes to fail registering, are also used in the DM1xL/41L units? My new DM16L has one key (÷) that requires much more force than the others, to register, and seems very similar to the issue I have with shift & enter on my DM42. Could be coincid...

Re: DM15L USB connection touble?

Thanks, the decoder works fine, but I'm asking about the format of the dump. I know that I can see the program code using the decoder, but I'd like to know what everything in the dump means so that I can write my own decoder/encoder. Is there a spec somewhere? Given that the decoder is hosted by sw...

Re: DM15L USB connection touble?

Go to the decoder at: http://www.swissmicros.com/nut_decoder/#decoder select calculator: DM15 M1B if you're running firmware version > 22, clear the V22-compatible clicker delete the text from the LHS box, and copy/paste your memory dump into it, starting with with DM15_M1B line and ending with the ...

Re: Case for Voyager 'L' size

thanks both :) anyone have any thoughts on alternative Voyager cases? Or are we thinking that they're a similar enough size? I find that my DM42 won't fit into the pouch I'm using for the DM16L, but perhaps the HP 42S is smaller than the DM42? But my DM16L won't fit into the 42S slip case either, ir...

I'd recommend looking for an HP-17bii+silver - it's accompanied by one of the best inexpensive cases I've experienced recently for this size of pocket calcs.
thanks Walter!

Re: Case for Voyager 'L' size

thanks Bob! I didn't even realise the Pioneer series had a case like that; I have a similar case for my 28S, but it's too big for the 42 or the Voyagers. There must be two dozen Pioneers with cases on eBay at the moment, and all but one have the simple open-top slip case (of which I already have one...

Re: DM42 program with EVERY instruction?

I've never encountered HP-42S programs containing synthetic instructions, though, so this is more of a curiosity than anything else. off-topic: by coincidence, only today I read that the new Jake's PPC Archive DVD version has added the "recently-located 6-page EduCALC Technical Note #24" on 42S syn...
