Re: Suddenly Login on each visit is required?

I'm still logged in automatically. Did this start happening when the site had problems a few days ago? Thanks for replying Tom. This time I was able to auto-login, so maybe problem is resolved. I also use another Forum running the same myBB s/w, also with the same username, so maybe things got conf...

Suddenly Login on each visit is required?

Has something changed in site configuration? Until a few days ago, when I would initially go to the Board Index page from a saved bookmark/Favorite, the system would automatically log me in, which is as expected since I've set that preference. The 'manage "Remember me" login keys' settings on my con...

Re: What would be the ultimate calculator in 2017?

In a way, certainly. As far as I understood it, it's also telling you something about the precision (not accuracy!) of the s/w. Well that is superficially true, however it only reveals a small amount about a small amount of the s/w, I think. The basic trig functions, and anti-functions (well, you k...

Re: What would be the ultimate calculator in 2017?

It could be argued that once is too many times :) While I don't disagree, this near-useless 'forensic test', which really doesn't tell one much of any real use, is the gold standard useless benchmark by which we judge all machines. It's popular because it's easy to remember and so easy to do. It's ...

Re: What would be the ultimate calculator in 2017?

This isn't the usual trig forensic. That is asin(acos(atan(tan(cos(sin(9)))))) - 9 which equals -6,2465E-29. Again, I believe this to be the correctly rounded result at this precision. Using the format toml posted didn't feel quite right/familiar, as I recall it starts/ends with sin() but I used it...

Re: DM42 User Manual

Bob, I sent you a PM about 5 days ago (unrelated to this particular topic). Looks like you haven't picked it up yet :) You're right, I had not noticed. Does this forum not send an email to recipient notifying of PM receipt by default? I'll go read your PM now and then check my settings, maybe I nev...

I get -1.24138E-11 when I do this:

atan(acos(asin(sin(cos(tan(9))))))-9
Is this using the the NumWorks machine?

On the DM42, I get -2.86934E-28 !
Amazing!

Re: DM42 User Manual

Is there an idea to make a high quality pocket variant of a kind of quick reference manual? For the original HP-42S, there is an excellent pocket guide available, discussed here: https://forum.swissmicros.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=108 For the DM42, once it is stable and released, hopefully a user wil...

Re: OFFIMG: Leibniz and Hewlett Re: A few to get you started

Does Mac allow saving in a different format? When I right-click the image on the forum in WIndows, it gives me the option to save it in either png or bmp format so allowing png files to be posted shouldn't be much problem for Windows users at least. If you Save As... to a .bmp file in windows, the ...
