Re: WP43 News
This time I had to reset it a couple of times (it freezed on press the key in the bottom left ) before successfully running the program. Happened to me as well. Contemplating a bit if it was due for a slight panic attack. Though, after flashing qspi, I manually loaded wp43.prg and it came back to l...

Re: Maths precision compared to DM42
Precision in the realms of both DM and WP calcs I guess is mostly for us calcoholic nerds. As mentioned, NASA uses 15 decimals precision for interplanetary calculations. I calculated the earth orbit to deviate 0,007mm with 15 vs 16 decimals of Pi. Yet again, I also calculated/converted my land plot ...

Re: Maths precision compared to DM42
It amazes me there might be a real world application where a difference in the 31st digit matters. I live in the engineering world where having six digits for the inputs to a calculation is very good, and it is usually fewer than that. For JPL's highest accuracy calculations, which are for interpla...

Re: Maths precision compared to DM42
Albeit, WP43 cannot calculate this high factorial directly, but do so via LnGamma, which then is prone to rounding errors at 34 digits. Not quite true: WP43 returns 1.479 907 299 403 249 333 203 306 687 281 203E+6143 for 2123.! (note the decimal point) which compares well with Wolfram Alpha while b...

Re: Maths precision compared to DM42
Just to throw in a couple extra calculators:
Wolfram Alpha; ...1202(623751623...)
WP43: ...9395
Albeit, WP43 cannot calculate this high factorial directly, but do so via LnGamma, which then is prone to rounding errors at 34 digits.
I have only displayed the digits that you gave highlighted in bold.

Count me in for one, maybe two units.
